Disney have currently attempted to dismiss the hybrid release as a necessity, however still plans on releasing other Phase Four films with a theatrical run before adding them to Disney+. It will be interesting to see the developments of this case and what it might mean for hybrid releases of other films.

Hawkeye Disney+ Premiere Date Revealed
"[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she's a big Hawkeye fan," Renner tells

Lego reveals Marvel Collectible Minifigures Series
Lego has uploaded images of the Lego Marvel Collectible Minifigure Series, which features 12 characters from the MCU Disney+ shows.
"Action lovers young and old can collect, display or add cool character minifigures into their current playsets from Marvel Studios Original series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…?"
The figures from the series include:
- The Scarlet Witch - with energy blast pieces
- The Vision/White Vision - with a laptop displaying the S.W.O.R.D logo and the expanding magic barrier
- Monica Rambeau - with a brickbuilt Helicopter
- Winter Soldier - with his dual knives and the shield
- Captain America - with wings, Redwing and the shield
- Loki - with a TVA mug and Throg
- Sylvie - with her green blade and Alligator Loki

Shang-Chi 'Need' Trailer released
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special length and details revealed
- Special will have a 40 minute runtime
- Events of the special will be canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe
- It will bridge the gap between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
- James Gunn felt that it would be necessary to watch to understand aspects of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 stating "It’s within canon, it’s about the Guardians, you’re going to learn things you need to know before Volume 3. It’s great and I’m very happy!"
- The Star Wars holiday special served as inspiration for James Gunn, with him noting that he "unironically liked the Star Wars Holiday Special when it first aired"
- The special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are not intended to set-up Phase 5 or the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania begins filming
Peyton Reed, the director of the Ant-Man trilogy, has announced the start of filming for the third installment of the Ant-Man series entitled 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'. This announcement was accompanied with an image of the 'Ugly Bunny' given from Scott to Cassie in Ant-Man, hinting the movie might further explore the dynamic between Scott and his daughter.
Black Widow (2021) DVD/Blu-ray details revealed
The special features have been revealed:
- Bloopers – Take a look at some of the fun mishaps on set with the cast and crew of Black Widow.
- Filmmaker Introduction Featurette – Director Cate Shortland introduces the film and her vision for it.
- Sisters Gonna Work It Out Featurette – Watch Scarlett and Florence as they train, fight, and bond to become the sister duo in Black Widow. Listen as the cast and crew discuss the characters, rigorous training, and building the dynamic between the two fearsome siblings.
- Go Big If You’re Going Home Featurette – Step back to appreciate the size and scale of Black Widow's solo film. Shot around the world, the film balances family and drama with mind-blowing action. The cast and crew reveal the intricacies of stunts that made the film so action-packed
Along with the reveal of several deleted scenes for the film:
- Grocery Shopping – Natasha heads into a grocery store to prepare for her journey through Norway. After a long drive, she arrives at her destination: a mysterious trailer in the middle of nowhere.
- Bike Chase – Tailed by assailants, Natasha and Yelena speed through the city in order to escape their nemeses.
- Gulag Fight – Alexei squares up against several enemies and is quickly overpowered. When all hope seems lost, Natasha leaps in to lend a hand in the fight.
- Smile – The Taskmaster protocol is activated in a tense moment, and an iconic helmet is unveiled.
- Come After Me – Secretary Ross and Mason discover an important message Natasha left behind.
- Walk and Talk – Alexei and Melina have a playful exchange. The Taskmaster arrives and faces off with Alexei.
- Widows in Training – Yelena and Alexei awaken in captivity. Melina hands the Taskmaster vials while the Widows train.
- Kiss – Alexei and Melina reunite after the action. Natasha grieves over an untimely demise in the brutal aftermath.
- Ohio – Natasha witnesses the carefree nature of the Ohio suburbs through the neighborhood children.
Black Widow will also be streaming on Disney+ as part of the normal service on October 6 2021.
